How to Get a Donation from Custom-Tack for your Organization's Event
Is your group trying to raise money? We have factory second items to donate to non-profit horse or dog groups for money raising events and as awards at shows.
Here’s how to get a donation for your group:
Send your request in the form of a letter on your organization's letterhead. Please tell us what event you are using this donation for and include name, address, and phone number of the event coordinator. If there is a different shipping address, include that too. Somewhere in the letter, it should be stated that your group is registered with the IRS as a non-profit organization, with a tax-free number.
If your group has a website, include that information in your letter with an email address. After we have sent the donated items we will email your website's contact information and request that your group add our logo to your list of donors with a link to our website. In turn, we will add your group’s name and a link to your group’s website to the list below.
What kinds of items are available?
- Factory seconds items, which have only a cosmetic flaw.
- Used or returned items which have been reconditioned
- Leashes or Leads made from our scrap webbing
- Overstock items or discontinued colors
What NOT to do:
- Send us a vague letter with no shipping information. If you are serious about getting a donation for your group, you'll send your request on your letterhead with complete information.
- If you email your letter, please be sure to include your group’s website information. Your group’s logo will give your email added credibility.
- We do our best to send whatever we've got in a timely matter, but realize that this is not our highest priority, so please, no follow up phone calls or emails!
